Verified by Visa is a new service that addresses consumers' number one concern when shopping online: SECURITY. By enabling consumers to add an online password to their existing Visa card, Verified by Visa helps prevent unauthorized use of Visa cards, giving consumers added confidence when they shop online.
Using Verified by Visa is quick and simple. When a consumer clicks "buy" at checkout at participating merchant sites, a Verified by Visa screen appears. The consumer then enters their password and clicks "submit". The consumer's identity is verified by their Issuer, and the purchase process proceeds.
Verified by Visa gives consumers reassurance that at participating online stores they have added protection against unauthorized use of their Visa cards. Since Verified by Visa works with existing Visa cards, it takes just a few minutes to register and start shopping.
